1) I am thankful for nurturing parents who
raised me in a Christian home. They taught
me by example to receive an education
that allowed me to choose an occupation
that I not only enjoyed but enabled me to
not be dependent on society for my basic
needs, to be the helpmate God calls us to
be in marriage, to live my life to the fullest
using my abilities and gifts helping others,
and to accept those limitations beyond my
control.

2) I am thankful that God allowed my mom
to live to the age of 91 and that she was

not only my loving mother but my
confident and co-best friend. I am also
thankful for all the good times and trips
we enjoyed and that I was privileged to be
her caregiver in her final years.

3) I am thankful for 40 years of marriage
to my husband, my other co-best friend,
and for the wonderful love and
relationship we share. I am thankful for his
loving support during the most difficult
times of my life.

4) I am thankful for the friendships I’ve
had over the years including many from
my church, neighbors, coworkers and
many of you on Toluna.

5) And, most of all, I am thankful that God
through his mercy and grace saved me
when I placed my faith in his Son, Jesus
Christ who took the penalty I deserved for
my sins when he died on the cross and
rose again so that I may spend eternity
with him in Heaven along with my loved
ones who also professed faith in Christ. He
is truly my best friend and guide of all.
