"A few years back I decided to go to Kenya as a volunteer to
make children happy! One day, a friend of mine told me a story

about this small village in the middle of nowhere, full of
children who have nothing. He was helping them to build the

school, houses, collect donations to support them and I
decided to help him. I had no idea how this couple of months
would change my life, I was not ready to see what I saw.

Most people I talk to about Africa who have been there, visited
the places as tourists. They think they saw it ,but what they

saw is what the tourists are allowed to see and it is much
                                                            different.

One day, we were on the way to nearest town and we saw a

colourful bus from Mombasa to Nairobi, what made us laugh
was its name, as it "contains" my name on its name - "Kinga".
When we explained what we saw to kids from our village, they

decided to call me Miss Bus :)" - doligd7

                              Your Holiday Stories!

"Usually I was trying to visit as many different events Then hitchhiking to Germany, where I was supposed to stay for

in different countries during one holiday. This holiday one week, but before leaving Prague I received the news that I
was no different - first Universal Congress in Prague, was accepted into the international work team for the festival
then Youth Congress in Germany, and after it - Cultural in Copenhagen, which meant that I had to go to Copenhagen

Festival in Copenhagen. One week for each event - 3 one week earlier. The whole festival was organised in
weeks in total. Prague was OK, but for the fact that I Christiania. In case this name doesn't mean anything to you, it

didn't have accommodation for the first 2 days. I was is a society within society with a mix of homemade houses,
already looking for the thickest bushes in the city workshops, art galleries, music venues, cheap and organic

centre where I could sleep in my small tent, but then eateries, and beautiful nature. So, for almost 3 weeks I was
somebody brought me to an apartment whose owner part of an international team helping to organize a Cultural

generously took in some 20 people - absolutely free! festival. The team members were great, we had do do different
jobs every day - from cleaning toilets to helping in the kitchen
and preparing concert venues. We were living (sleeping) in an

old train carriage, working like horses and had a very little free
          Thanks to everyone who
time :) . But it was cool :). After this, I spent 2 days hitchhiking
       contributed! If your story is
on my own across Europe, and then I could finally rest at
        included here, you will be
